Mauritius Regatta 2013
The Mauritius Regatta is being held from 18th to 25th May 2013. The Franco-Swiss watchmaker Ralf Tech, already official timer of the Vendée Globe 2012/2013, has expressed the desire to sponsor the event. He'll be joined by the amphibious boat creator Sealegs, and by Champagnes Nicolas Feuillatte partner of the event since its very first edition in the Seychelles in 2009.
Ralf Tech, official timer of the Mauritius Regatta: Launched in 1998, the Ralf Tech company was entirely dedicated to the manufacturing of professional scuba diving material. On the fifth of July 2005, Ralf Tech beats the world record of depth scuba diving with an immersion time of almost 10 hours, at more than 330 meters below the water surface. That day, the scuba diver was wearing the first Ralf Tech watch, the WR1. This record remains unbeaten and to this day, no other watches has gone deeper on the arm of an unassisted diver.
In 2008, Ralf Tech chooses to concentrate for good on the watchmaking business, with a strong DNA and an ambitious project: conceive, develop, and produce watches with character, precise, reliable and sturdy.
Special forces units of the French 'Marine Nationale' Commandos, operators of the special force of the gendarmerie 'GIGN', Vendée Globe skippers, all of which, alongside Ralf Tech are participating in the watches' development and continuous improvement.
At Ralf Tech, experience rules.
Vendée Globe 2012/2013 winner, François Gabart wears every day his Ralf Tech WRX 'A' Hybrid. This particular watch is used by several units of the French Special Forces and was worn by most skippers of the latest edition of the mythical race around the world. Sturdy, and with a quality standard ISO 6425 for Dive Watches that is not only met but exceeded, the Ralf Tech WRX 'A' Hybrid is incredibly precise thanks to its innovative hybrid movement combining in one unique system the advantages of the quartz movement, to those of the automatic traditional movements.
