Thurlow Fisher Lawyers emphatic performance

Thurlow Fisher Lawyers emphatic performance in last Sunday's final scratch race prior to the main event of the 18 footer racing season, will see Michael Coxon, Dave O'Connor and Trent Barnabas firm into Seve Jarvin's Gotta Luv it 7, the defending champions from 2011 and 12, to equal favourites for the JJ Giltinan 2013.

The main reason for Team Coxon's improved ranking for the title is apart from their excellent form and timing going in, the Thurlow Fisher Lawyers skiff is undamaged after Sunday's torrid conditions which caused plenty of damage to the fleet and especially to Gotta Luv it 7 with Herman Winning sitting in for the still convalescing Seve Jarvin. Gotta Luv it 7's wing mounts folded into the hull, simultaneously flooding the carbon hull. This is not what Seve's Team needed with just five days to the first JJ race.

Smeg, Nick Press , Dan Phillips and Dave Ewings had to play catch up after a sloppy mark rounding at Clark Is. the first time, but settled down into their solid breeze rhythm to finish second and Tom Clout's boys brought Pure Blonde home to round out the Podium in third spot.

Pick the Podium... Congratulations go to Peter Alexander who came out of the hat against 16 other entries, who all had 2 correct yesterday. Peter is awarded the Bragging Rights and wins a cool pair of www.barzoptics.com San Juan Floater sunnies

Can You Pick the Podium in all eight races of the JJ Giltinan starting this Friday 15th.... It's fun and free to enter, simply log on to www.18footerstv.com register and have a crack and you could win some great prizes.
