ASMEX 2013 - register now! Miami litmus, Rosehill Show approaches

by Jeni Bone, editor on 12 Feb 2013
Plenty of boat show and event news this week. Whatever segment of the industry you're in, you're covered!

We have the latest news from ASMEX 2013, with a thorough outline of topics and speakers.

This vital industry forum, 20-22 May, will precede the 25th anniversary Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show AND host the 2013 Club Marine Australian Export and Superyacht Awards - the only Gala Dinner event in this year's calendar and a great opportunity to network and celebrate the best in Aussie exports and the superyacht sector. Organisers are urging those who have an interest in attending to book now!

Organisers of the Miami International Boat Show are praying for clear skies and kind weather for the world's largest boat show, starting this Thursday. Many Aussie and Kiwi dealers, builders and brands attend this crucial show, using it as a litmus test for the rest of the year ahead.

Locally, we have the Rosehill Trailer Boat Show in western Sydney, March 16 & 17, and in the same vein, the Brisbane Tinnie & Tackle Show, March 15-17 - a significant event on the calendar for marine accessories, trailerable boats, engines and outdoor lifestyle products and one which attracts buyers in big numbers.

Our mate, Bob Wonders, will be attending the Rosehill show and I will make it up to Brisbane for T&T, so together, we have these super retail shows in hand.

Club Marine has stepped up as naming rights sponsor of the Brisbane Tinnie & Tackle Show this year, bringing with it an informative stand, Club Marine Magazine's chef, Bart Beek conducting hourly cooking demonstrations AND free copies of the magazine for visitors!

The Brisbane's RNA Showgrounds will host the 2013 Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show, again teaming up with the National 4x4 and Outdoors Show in two big shows for the price of one, just in time for Easter, to stock up on everything you need to get outdoors and on the water and savour the final days before full-blown autumn.

Then, from April til the end of 2013, there is a barrage of shows, events and expos - among them, Marine13, Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, Sydney International Boat Show, America's Cup and Audi Hamilton Island Race Week which we will be attending, so stand by for the industry insight the team from Sail-World, Powerboat-World and MarineBusiness-World deliver.

So many products, international launches and commentary on local and broader issues impacting the industry.

Please take the time to get in touch if you have thoughts on a topic, or send your own news and we will follow up. Plenty of news ahead this week, so pop in regularly for the latest.

Happy boating!
