The two winners in the Yachting Pages ‘Superyacht Shot’ photography competition were announced today as Quin Bisset and Captain Mark O’Connell. Their superlative images will feature on Yachting Pages’ superyacht directory covers for 2013-2014.

Launched in November 2012, Yachting Pages’ Superyacht Shot attracted some incredible entries from professional and amateur photographers and superyacht captains and crew around the world.

Entering its 10th anniversary year, Yachting Pages is the industry’s leading print directory and online resource. It helps people to search and find their superyacht-related services and products from over 13,000 listed businesses.

Quin Bisset’s sleek, hypnotic shot of sailing superyacht Vertigo will feature on the cover of Yachting Pages: Mediterranean, Europe, Africa and Middle East. It was captured in his native New Zealand, though Quin is available on location throughout the world.

A second shot of Quin’s will feature on the Yachting Pages Australasia, Asia Pacific and Far East cover, of the 54.5m motor yacht Faribana V.

Quin, director of superyacht media company Q&K, said, 'I entered the Superyacht Shot from Antigua over a terrible Internet connection and at the eleventh hour – so was thrilled to win two cover shots. Yachting Pages gets hand-delivered to tens of thousands of superyacht folk globally, so I’m hoping this will get Q&K noticed by even more clients. What a great way to start 2013!'

Vertigo, at 67m, was designed by Philippe Briand for Alloy Yachts, with interior design by Christian Liaigre.

Superyacht captain of 26 years Mark O’Connell is the second winner. His classic shot of the world’s largest superyacht M/Y Eclipse, built by Blohm and Voss, will grace the cover of Yachting Pages: USA, the Americas and Caribbean.

Captain Mark said, 'I’m very happy to have won a cover shot for such a premier industry publication. As a yacht captain myself, I use Yachting Pages regularly as it is so informative. The diversity of my photography has made my website a must-visit site, for its superyacht profiles, abstract and mood images.'

Both Superyacht Shot photography competition winners will receive a large colour advert in the 2013 Yachting Pages.

The new directories will be hand-delivered globally in spring to over 60,000 contacts in 90 countries. To get a copy or download digital versions of the current directories, visit www.yachting-pages.com.

The winning photographers can be commissioned - Quin Bisset, photographer, www.q-and-k.com (Mediterranean and Australasia covers). Captain Mark O’Connell, Mark O’Connell Photography, www.markoconnell.photodeck.com (USA and Caribbean covers).
