Melbourne Summer Boat Show - 1-3 February

by Jeni Bone on 22 Jan 2013
Melbourne Summer Boat Show 2012 BIA Victoria
Previously known as the Melbourne International Boat & Lifestyle Festival – MSBS will held at Melbourne’s premier waterside location, Docklands between 1-3 February, 2013.

The Melbourne Summer Boat Show is Melbourne’s only on-water event featuring a colourful display of yachts, luxury vessels, trailerable boats, jetskis and more, and one of the country’s biggest exhibitions of its kind.

The event will have something for all ages, including kayaking, fishing competition (Weigh-in), rescue helicopter appearance, Yamaha Supertank Fishing Show and a great selection of boats and new products.

Also on offer both on and off the water is a myriad of family oriented activities, demonstrations and come and try sessions.

CEO of BIA Vic, Stephen Gill, says this year's event will be filled with 'colour and movement' and the boat brands visitors expect at a major boat show.

'It has been well supported by the major companies, eager to capitalise on Victorians' appetite for boating and other water sports over the second half of summer. We anticipate a bumper show and great crowds. There's something for all the family in terms of entertainment, including the JetLev jet pack, fire brigade boat, Coast Guard and its new vessel - heaps and all for a great entry price - FREE along the boardwalk and for the marina, kids under 16 $2, adults $12, concession $8.'
