Tough day 3 at the 32nd Australian Minnow Titles

by Andrew Dubbin on 17 Jan 2013
Ready to race - 32nd Australian Minnow Titles Andrew Dubbin
Day three of the Australian Minnow Titles presented the competitors with ideal winds, sun and tide. The Highlight from the day is Brett Dale (WA)in 'RedBull', coming off two BFD's the previous day to take 1,2,1 ,5 out of day three in tough conditions.

The fleet is of a very high standard with all competitors showing their handling of the combination of tide and varying wind strengths plus the 6+ hrs out on the water testing all, no doubt there were a lot of early heads on pillows last night!

Current standings in the Open Fleet. See Hugo Llewelyn, Sscbc leading with Ethan Orien, PYC second and Kieran Schortz NT third.

In the Novice Fleet Niklas Rathmayr Sscbc leads with Jackson Lazzar, Sbsc second and third Grainne Snook/ George Aulich third.

With three races remaining in the Title race it is very open indeed in the Open fleet, with the Black Flag coming into play a lot during this regatta, all will have to be on their best behaviour at the start line!
