Super Boat International (SBI), the leading offshore powerboat racing organization, is ecstatic to announce the addition of Biloxi, Mississippi and Orange Beach, Alabama to the 2013 race schedule. In addition, to the current stops on the Super Boat circuit, this brings the 2013 season to a total of nine races around the United States. Super Boat teams, race the world’s fastest and most exciting vee-bottom and catamaran style high performance race boats.

The 10th Annual Smokin’ The Sound in Biloxi, Mississippi will kick off the 2013 SBI season April 25th through 28th. Teams and fans can enjoy the exciting race boats as they traverse an 'L' shaped racecourse along casino row. This venue provides some of the most exciting and fastest racing as raceboats enter and exit Biloxi Bay. Smokin’ The Sound Chairman and Executive Director, Woody Bailey is very excited about the upcoming race and working with Super Boat International. 'We are looking forward to this year’s race on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and we are looking forward to working with John [Carbonell] this year. We have a lot of great fans in the Gulf Coast area and they can expect some exciting racing this year with Superboat.'

Founder and President of Super Boat International John Carbonell is just as excited to be racing again on the Mississippi and Alabama Gulf Coast. 'We are happy with the way this year’s schedule is shaping up and we are looking forward to be work with both organizers. Woody [Bailey] has been great and they seem very excited about the race at the end of April. They have such a great fan base and everyone enjoys the Gulf Coast area. I know Gary [Nichols] and Damon [Collins] are working very hard as well. It will be great to work with them also and it should be a very exciting year.'

The Gulf Coast Powerboat Association, including founder Gary Nichols and President Damon Collins is ready for SBI to return. They agree, 'racing is back and their fans are ready for some very exciting Super Boat competition.' The 10th Annual 'Thunder on the Bay' Super Boat Grand Prix is scheduled for May 31st through June 2nd on the beautiful Alabama Coastline. Boat racing along these white sugar sand beaches provides some of the most picturesque backdrops for boat events. Race teams and fans always enjoy traveling to lower Alabama for the powerboat races.

Along with the races named above, this year’s schedule will also include Cocoa Beach May 17th – 19th, Sarasota July 5th – seventh, Miami July 19th-21st, Michigan City August 2nd – fourth, New York September 6th – eighth, Clearwater September 27th – 29th and the Key West World Championships November 3rd – 10th. All of this season’s racing can be seen live on the web, as Super Boat International streams raceday coverage with flag to flag coverage. Coverage can be seen at new.livestream.com/sbi.

Super Boat International has seen increased viewership by fans, families, and many others tuning in and watching the events live… on livestream.
