Alex McKinnon was on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula to capture the final day of the always entertaining Couta Boat action. More breakages and use of the Olympic course were highlights of the day.

Port/Starboard incidents, a broken bowsprit and snapped rudder could not perturb the fleet. Hughie, that magnificent God of Wind, provided fresh Southerlies and beaming sunshine to keep everyone happy.

Happiest of all would have to be Nigel Abbott who with the crew of Romy took out the much-lauded Line Honours prize from Nick Williams’ Wagtail and then Ken Vaughan’s Sorrento.

In the handicapper’s trophy, Williams got up for the win from Class President, Andrew Skinner and the crew of Rip, with Abbott and crew getting third after a great second day on the water with two bullets for their efforts.

Well done to all the sailors and volunteers for being part of such a great event.
