The Celestial Assistance Dogs 50 foot yacht was named to celebrate the PAWsome work of Assistance Dogs Australia. When skipper Sam Haynes and his crew of salty sea dogs set sail from the Cruising Yacht Club the Super Puppies will be cheering them on from the dock and wishing them smooth sailing all the way to Hobart.

Assistance Dogs really do blow the wind out of your sails, performing everyday tasks for their recipients that people with physical disabilities find difficult, if not impossible to achieve. They pick up all sorts of dropped items, like mobile phones and keys, they open and close doors, press the button at the traffic lights and are trained to alert bark if their recipient needs help or falls out of their wheelchair.

'Assistance Dogs give people with physical disabilities freedom and independence, a truly priceless gift. Our Assistance Dogs make huge changes to lives of those that need them and helping that happen is a fantastic thing to be a part of,' Richard Lord, Top Dog of Assistance Dogs Australia, said

As each dog is worth an investment of over $27,000 and is placed with recipients free of charge, Assistance Dogs Australia really needs your help so we can make a difference for people in need. Assistance Dogs Australia is a national but tiny charity that trains Labradors and Golden Retrievers to help people with physical disabilities. A look at The Ocean Cleanup and its the 30 Cities Program The cliche goes that one should avoid meeting one's heroes, as there's always a chance that the flesh-and-blood person might not live up to expectations. While I've never met Boyan Slat, I'd gladly take this risk.
