$100,000 Stabicraft/Yamaha package at 2013 Hutchwilco NZ Boat Show

by Mike Rose on 24 Dec 2012
Prize boat Mike Rose
A $100,000 Stabicraft/Yamaha boat package, featuring Stabicraft’s just released 2100 Supercab and Yamaha’s latest F200 4-cylinder 4-stroke, will be given away at the 2013 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show in May.

The spectacular package is based around Stabicraft’s latest model, the brand new 2100 Supercab. A stunning 6.4-metre hardtop, the 2100 Supercab features Stabicraft’s new technology Game Chaser Transom and Arrow Pontoons. By adding more displacement and buoyancy at the stern, these make the Supercab safer and easier to back down, for example when fighting a big fish. The newly profiled pontoon design also produces an even softer ride.

The 2100’s transom also features versatile new fold-up seats. When 'up' these give unimpeded access to the very rear of the boat and to the sides; when 'down' they provide both a handy spot on which to rest, as well as easy access to the boarding platform.

The new 2100 Supercab also features a large capacity fuel tank (250 lites) and an extra large live bait tank. The prize boat will also come with a rear boarding ladder, washdown kit, starboard windscreen wiper and a stunning metallic gold finish.

The prize boat will be powered by the latest addition to Yamaha’s powerful 4-stroke line up, the incredible new 200hp 4-cylinder F200. Weighing in at just 227kg, the new F200 weighs an astonishing 56 kg less than the V6 F200, a mere 6 kg more than Yamaha’s super-powerful two-stroke 200hp HPDI and an amazing 1 kg less than the popular F150.

Featuring a brand new powerful 2.8-litre double overhead camshaft engine, variable camshaft timing and Yamaha’s patented Shift Dampener System (previously found only on Yamaha’s 4.2-litre V6 range), the new F200 will be the perfect complement to the Stabicraft 2100.

With its 2.8-litre, 16-valve DOHC powerhead, sophisticated valve train design and Variable Camshaft Timing System, the new F200 will deliver market-leadingly quick, responsive acceleration and a super-strong mid-range punch. The new 4-stroke F200 also comes with a powerful 50-amp alternator (delivering 13 percent more charging power than even Yamaha’s V6 F200) and Yamaha's Variable Trolling RPM Switch (VTS).

The 2013 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show prize boat will also come with a Furuno GP1870F, complete with Airmar P66 transducer and New Zealand charts, an Uniden Oceanus VHF radio and aerial, a FUSION IP600 head unit and four 6-inch marine speakers.

As a final touch, the Stabicraft/Yamaha prize boat will also come with a Hutchwilco safety package, consisting of four Mariner lifejackets and a flare pack, and a year’s worth of Club Marine insurance.

All paying visitors to the 2013 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show, at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland on May 16-19, can be in to win this fantastic prize package. Show visitors simply need to collect stamps from the clearly-marked stamping booths, answer a simple question, enter their contact details on the entry ticket and place their completed ticket into the official entry box.

The lucky winner will be notified immediately after the prize draw, shortly after the show closes on Sunday, May 19. They can then pick up their new Stabicraft/Yamaha prize boat from the Showgrounds the following morning, tow it to the nearest ramp and go boating!

The Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show is New Zealand’s longest-running, largest and most popular boat show. It is held at the ASB Showgrounds, in Greenlane Auckland and is on May 16-19, 2013. Hours are 10am until 6pm daily, with a single late night, on Friday May 17, when the show will be open until 9pm. Admission is just $20 for adults and there is no charge for children 16 and under.
