With this year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race less than a week away, Henri Lloyd and the Wild Oats XI team have just announced that they have extended their already long and fruitful alliance for a further three years. It has been a perfect match between two powerhouses of the marine world.

Henri Lloyd is celebrating 50 years of marine innovation in 2013, while the legendary super-maxi is on track to claim her sixth ‘Blue Water Classic’. For over five years Henri Lloyd has kitted out the Wild Oats XI team in the latest in marine technology, protecting them from the treachery of Bass Strait and helping them to reach their peak performance along the way.

This year the crew will be sporting bespoke Gore-Tex Pro Shell Ocean Explorer gear, engineered using the most rugged tear and abrasion resistant fabrics in the market and designed with a multitude of high-performance features, such as the unique Optivison Hood system that provides wider peripheral vision without the loss of protection to the face. Other features include a two way storm flap with drainage channel, fast draining lower cargo pockets and pre moulded reflective patches at the cuff, shoulder, storm flap and hood.

And if everything goes to plan, keep an eye out for the crew on the winner’s podium dressed in Henri Lloyd’s high-spec Atmosphere 360 range, including Fast Dri Pique Polos, Cipher Jackets, Element Caps and Henri Classic Oxford Shirts.

Henri Lloyd signature stores available at Chatswood Chase and Crows Nest Sydney. Also available at all good marine and independent lifestyle retailers and selected David Jones stores.
