Australian Sports Boat Calendar 2013

Introducing the Australian Sports Boat Association 2013 Calendar.

One of the most important tasks the committee of ASBA undertake is to organise, manage and promote events for its members and the Sports Boat fleet around the country. There are many great regattas’ that Sports Boat participate in and more still starting up which want to include a division for Sports Boats.

Sports Boats have competed in five National Titles under the ASBA banner with 5 different National Champions. The first two of these where part of Geelong Week, now Festival of Sails, and the last three National Titles have been held as stand alone ASBA run and organised events. At the 2012 Nationals, the first five boats came from five different States.
Our goal is to make the ASBA National Titles each year 'The Event' to attend.

If you’re going to pull the boat out of the shed or off the hardstand and hit the road only once a year, we want that event to be the National Titles. It shouldn’t and doesn’t matter if you’re out to win on the race course or you want to enjoy a sail and a beer with your mates. The ASBA Nationals are you’re event..

Our goal is to also be able to assist owners get their boats to events in the form of a travel subsidy.

To help make this happen and also show off to the world the great boats we sail ASBA has produced a 2013 A4 Colour Calendar packed full of photos (24+) from these last 5 years of sailing. It also includes all the event dates in 2013.

Teri Dodds, Bernie Kaaks, James Middleton and Suellen Hurling have all donated their images. Our supporters, Gill, Hogs Breath, Sailing Bits and 3 Oceans Wine have all assisted in meeting the productions costs. This means the bulk of the sales proceeds can go back into the fleet and into producing the best Sports Boat events for all the fleet.

So not only are the proceeds going back into the fleet but most importantly, the Calendar is a great product and an ideal Christmas present for all in your family.

You will also be able to order on line via the ASBA web site – www.asba.org.au.

There is a limited print run, so to secure your copy, go and visit the website.

Spread the word and see you at the Nationals – Melbourne March 29- April 1 2013.
