Smok’in an Phantom 20 powered with a Four Stroke Yamaha F250 SHO winning the F2 Class - Yamaha Rollo’s Bridge to Bridge WaterSki Classic Greg Fenwick

While the Yamaha Rollo's Bridge to Bridge Water Ski Classic is an event that is dominated with high horsepower inboard and twin outboard boats towing skiers at in many cases in excess of 87kts, a very keenly sought class is the F2 class where boats must have a stock standard outboard not exceeding 300 HP .

The event was won and a new record set last year by Sam Fenwick, a former Tauranga Cup (P-Class) winner, and his team in his Phantom 20 running a stock standard Four Stroke Yamaha F250 SHO. This year on October 28th Sam along with Observer Ben Mayne with Skiers Daniel Tuffin and Kane Carter again won the F2 event while taking 24 seconds off their previous record, and hit speeds towards 75kts towing two skiers.

They also took out the F2 Powerboat Sprints on the day and were crowned 'F2 King of the Rivers' after winning the Twin Rivers event in Paeroa two weeks prior as well.

The event is held annually and consists of a number of events with the 82.2 Kilometer Yamaha Rollo's Bridge to Bridge Water Ski Classic from Cambridge to Taupiri then the return leg back to hamilton being the major attraction.
