In Greifswald, Germany the inaugural Nord Stream Race trophy was awarded to Vladimir Liubomirov, skipper of Team Russia, by Valery Golubev - the Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom.
A delighted Liubomirov said: 'It was only a year ago that we first thought about this race, so congratulations to everyone involved you did a great job. Thank you for my team for making this possible and I look forward to second edition next year.'
The Nord Stream fleet of five Swan 60s arrived into Greifswald to officially conclude the Nord Stream Race 2012. The teams paraded the boats up the River Ryck towards the town of Greifswald before taking part in prize-giving and then a well-deserved celebration party in the town centre.
