More than 70 vulnerable children supported by international charity Save the Children will have the chance to ride a Kookaburra River Queen and participate in a ‘fun day’ thanks to organisers of the Rivergate International Boat Show on Saturday 6 October.

Rivergate International Boat Show general manager Narelle Jensen said the event will provide vulnerable and disadvantaged children, and their carers, a special opportunity.

'The children will have the chance to ride the iconic Kookaburra River Queen, go for jet-ski rides, check out the boat show and enjoy a delicious lunch,' Ms Jensen said.

Also during the inaugural Rivergate International Boat Show, there will be an added splash of glamour thanks to the attendance of internationally acclaimed model, Lisa Seiffert.

Ms Seiffert will be modeling a range of designer labels from Marg K Boutiques at the River Rhapsody morning tea hosted aboard the iconic Kookaburra River Queens on October 6 & 7.

Rivergate International Boat Show general manager Narelle Jensen said the event was sure to be a highlight of the weekend.

'We are extremely proud to be working with Lisa on this event, who will undoubtedly bring some A-list glamour to the weekend,' Ms Jensen said.

'Not only will guests enjoy a morning of elegant cuisine, they will also have the opportunity to view the latest seasonal fashion from Marg K Boutiques plus partake in styling sessions and fashion workshops.

'Over the two days, Marg K Boutiques will showcase the hottest looks for summer including stylish resort wear plus present a special preview of what to wear next winter.

'The styling sessions and workshops will provide guests with some insight into the secrets and style principles used by those in the fashion industry – an opportunity not too be missed,' she concluded.

Rivergate International Boat Show will bring together the best that life on the water has to offer, from jet skis, power and sail boats to luxury cruisers and marine accessories. The event will have a distinctive family friendly flavour with activities for children, a marketplace, gourmet food, onsite demonstrations, and a sea trial area where prospective purchasers can ‘try before they buy’.

The show is expected to attract more than 20,000 visitors over three spectacular Queensland spring days.

River Rhapsody morning tea tickets are $45 per adult and can be purchased at www.kookaburrariverqueens.com/special-events or call 07 3221 1300. Bookings essential.

Lisa Seiffert appeared in the accompanying clip to Robbie Williams’ 2001 hit Eternity, and has graced the cover of Australian Vogue, and French and Italian ELLE.
