Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association events for October 2012

Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) is the governing authority for sailing competition at colleges and universities throughout the United States and in some parts of Canada.

The following events have been scheduled by ICSA for the upcoming October weekend:

Navy Women’s Fall is being held during October 6th and 7th 2012 at the US Naval Academy.

Teams scheduled to attend are:

MAISA: U.S. Naval Academy, St. Mary’s College of Maryland, Old Dominion University, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Georgetown University, Cornell University.

NEISA: U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Yale University, Brown University, Bowdoin College, Roger Williams University, Northeastern University, Boston University, Tufts University.

SAISA: University of South Florida, University of Miami, College of Charleston.

Berths are available. The report time is 0900 and the boats will be the 420, FJ and Radial.

The US Naval Academy are looking forward to hosting at Navy for these home regattas this fall. Since thier school is a little different than most from a security and access perspective a few simple steps will need to be following to allow access to the yard to park near the sailing site.

At least seven days in advance of the competition apply for a gate pass online. This can be done as early as 30 days in advance. The request for a pass can be done online here.

Select the sport Sailing-I and fill out the form as completely as possible. A confirmation will not likely be sent but if the form is filled correctly access to drive onto the Academy will be allowed. While only visiting teams and event officials will be allowed vehicle access to the yard, other spectators and supporters are encouraged to walk on to view the event.

The Moody Trophy is being hosted by the University of Rhode Island during October 6th and 7th 2012. Teams scheduled to attend are:

MAISA: Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Fordham University, Columbia University, St. Mary’s College of Maryland

NEISA: Yale University, Roger Williams University, Tufts University, Boston College, Brown University, Dartmouth College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, Connecticut College, Boston University,
University of Rhode Island.

PCCSC: Stanford University

SAISA: College of Charleston, Eckerd College

The report time is 0930. The boats are FJ.
