Say Goodbye to Wet Shorts thanks to Musto and their BR1 Race Shorts!

The launch of Musto’s new BR1 Race Short heralds the launch of Musto’s latest BR1 Race range in Australasia. Musto has always been known as the offshore brand of choice, what many may not know is that Musto also offer a performance range designed with the day sailor/fleet racer in mind. The BR1 range is an affordable performance range.

The BR1 race short is 100% waterproof, with taped seams and is made from BR1 fabric. The BR1 fabric breathes using water-loving molecular chains that absorb the moist air and drive this water vapour through the fabric and away from the body. A high wear resistant seat patch and abrasion free seams ensures high levels of durability and a concealed internal hem gusset with an adjuster prevents water running up your shorts. The BR1 race short is perfect for the inshore fleet sailor who does not always need to wear full wet weather gear.

How many times have you been sitting on the rail in clear conditions and flat water when you have been doused by a random wave. The annoying thing is there is not enough water going over the deck to warrant wet weather pants but now you will have wet shorts all day.

‘The World Match Racing Tour demands a continuous high level of exertion in every match, so wearing the right gear to maintain our bodies optimum temperature is a vital part of performing at our best, all day, every match. The BR1 Race Shorts, worn at the recent St Moritz event ensured we stayed dry whilst providing the durability and breathability that we have come to love from Musto, contributing to our success in this event.' Ricky McGarvie – Black Swan Racing Team

Completing the BR1 Race Range is the new BR1 Race Jacket, which has already proven a favourite amongst the inshore and day sailors. With all the features you expect from a sailing jacket, including double cuffs, foldaway hood, fleece warming pockets and collar, the BR1 Race Jacket is stylish enough to be worn off the boat too. Available in both a men’s and women’s cut, the new BR1 Race Jacket is set to make a big splash this season.
