Nassau Cup Ocean Race – Online registration open

by SORC on 21 Sep 2012
Nassau Cup Ocean Race 2012 Robert Dunkley
Nassau Cup Ocean Race 2012 final plans are being finalized by the SORC group, along with the Coral Reef and Nassau Yacht Clubs. November 8th, the start of the Race is less than seven weeks away. Online registration is open and makes getting involved only a few clicks away here. Final entry is November 2nd.

A word from the Race Chairman, Carol Ewing: 'The 2012 Nassau Cup is setting up to be even better and bigger than last year – although we’re not sure how we can top last year’s steady 15 knot breeze with a full moon on a clear night – but we’ll try!' At the first of September, registration is ahead of last years and includes 'Decision'. Having won her class in the 2012 Newport - Bermuda Race, Stephen Murray and his crew on 'Decision' went on to win the first place boat in the Royal Bermuda YC 2012 Onion Patch Series. They are now registered for all three SORC events starting with the Nassau Cup Ocean Race.

Come out and join the competition and the party in Nassau!

The Coral Reef Yacht Club is also extending an invitation to any competitors who would like to sail the CRYC Annual Regatta on Saturday, November 3rd. Entry is free and if you participate you will be able to leave your boat at the Club until the start of the Nassau Cup Race on November 8th for a very nominal fee. A limited number of slips are available, so please contact chairman(at)nassaucuprace.org if you are interested in Nassau Cup Ocean Race website
