America's Cup- Emirates Team NZ's Foiling Flypast on the Waitemata

Double trouble - Emirates Team NZ’s AC72 returns to Auckland after her seventh day of sailing. Richard Gladwell www.photosport.co.nz

Emirates Team New Zealand's AC72 returned from their seventh day of sailing, with another Foiling Flypast on the Waitemata Harbour, late this afternoon.

Sail-World's Richard Gladwell was there to catch the action as they ran through the Friday evening race fleet.

Today was the seventh day of testing for the New Zealand team - sailing this time in a beautiful sea breeze far out into the Hauraki Gulf. They returned with a fast run up the Rangitoto Channel, foiling perfectly and looking very stable. The crew work in the gybe looked very slick and the time through the gybe - foil to foil - was about the same speed as an 18fter crew would take wire to wire though the same manoeuvre.
