In the Alp-Cup, they began winning in Attersee, conquering the first Act and they carried on winning. Felix Dorn and his guys got it at the end, rising to the highest step of the podium and after four very competitive Acts, the German 'B 52 Conquest' is the new Alp-Cup Champion.

A strong and tight-knit team, a renewed boat and a lot of enthusiam and passion have been the main ingredients of their success. 'We had an extended team with eight people turning on board. Together with Marlon Walter and me there were Tom Lindinger at bow, Raphael Rech at Pit and Bow, Daniel Hoschek at Pit and Genoa and Klaud Lindinger at Genoa/Spi. In the firts Act there were also Harald Untegger at Genoa and Manuel Ettengruber at Bow ' remarked a very happy Felix Dorn, 'B 52 Conquest’s' owner.

Marlon Walter who helmed B 52 toward the final victory is more than satisfied: 'From the beginning, there was a hard head to head with the Swiss team Superbusi and until the third Act, our teams were very close in the general ranking list. For us it was decisive the third act in Brunnen. In that occasion we took a good distance and points enough to win'.

Their main adversary, the Swiss 'Superbusi- Like a Vergin' helmed by Mathias Bermejo, who won the 2011 Alp-Cup, finished on the second step of the podium, showing a fantastic fair play. 'I think it’s really positive that the Alp-Cup winners change every year. That’s a further demonstration of the competitiveness and vitality of Platu 25 class,' underlined Mathias Bermejo.

The Swiss 'Aramis' helmed by Martin Sigrist, with Lukas Gerig as a tactician, conquered the third step of the podium in the general ranking list followed by the Austrian 'La Burra' helmed by Thomas Laherstorfer, with Markus Sigrist at tactics.

In Domaso, just two races were competed on Saturday, 1st September. On Sunday, crews had to wait wind vainly. The Italian 'Pirillina' helmed by Claudio Fasoli, won the last Act in Domaso, matching two first positions and dominating the regatta. The second place was for the Swiss 'Aramis' followed by 'Superbusi'.

As Guenther Prummer, Austria Platu 25 President and Central European Alp Cup Co-organizer, underlined: 'With 30 boats in list after 2011, we reach again a good result of participants. Considering bad weather and difficult situation for alpine lake with thermal set up, it was good that 18 out of 27 race could be done. I’m also satisfied because every year we have a different champion. That means that the competition is very high. It’s the first time that a German team wins an Alp-cup edition.

I’d like to be precise that 'B52 Conquest' home base is in Austria, at Attersee. We are also very happy for our sponsors: B52-Conquest got a new H-bite Genoa light from Montefusco sailsmaker. Four boats from the second to the fifth position, Celox-sailing provided with FSE-Robline a package of Platu 25 ropes. The second Team Superbuesi - last year’s overall winner - the third Aramis, the fourth La Burra from Austria and the fifth Pirilina received this package. The Montefusco 50% voucher went to GER 390 'Spirit of 25 - Schenker' from the Stuttgarter sailing Club'.

Changes and news are expected for the 2013 CEAC. 'We will go for new spots. For the first time the Alp-Cup will be taken on the Constance Lake during the Monfort Cup in Langenargen in the mid of May. So, for the first time the Alp-Cup will move to Germany. Two weeks later the circuit will be taken in Mondsee in Austria. At the end of August there will be races in Switzerland and Como Lake'.
