RS500s debut at Sneekweek

This past weekend, the RS500's were introduced in the Sneekweek. Sneekweek is the largest inland sailing event in Europe with more than 1000 boats competing on the water.
This year it was the first that the RS500 class have competed. We directly got start-group number one which meant that we were the first to start racing and the first to finish in front of the Island full of supporters and beer drinking public!
The race was a big puzzle. Looking for the marks was a real pressure on the shoulders of the crews who probably drank as much as their helms in the parties that Sneekweek is hosting. On Friday Night, the beautiful city of Sneek hosted fireworks. Saturday night was filled with a 'Crazy piano's band' with great music. It really was a 'Dutch-a-like' party!
After this weekend, we are very happy to welcome all the 993 other competitors to compete in our class next
