Online auctions are well and truly entrenched in our contemporary landscape. Millions of people use them every day for the purchase of every kind of item, big and small and now boats.
Marine Auctions principal, Adrian Seiffert is poised to launch an innovation in the boating industry – monthly auctions that bring boats and bidders from all over the country and the world together online.
'People will be able to engage in online and actual bidding from anywhere in the world. They will be able to see and hear the live auction by way of a webcam.'
The first of these begins Wednesday 8 August and ends Tuesday 14 August.
Then, another first, at the Rivergate International Boat Show, which runs 5-7 October, the Sunday of the event will be enlivened by an auction, aiming to buoy numbers on a traditionally slower day and deliver value-add exposure and valuable database to exhibitors.
'We have around 200 people registered for our auctions, so we will be bringing about 500 additional people to the Rivergate International Boat Show that Sunday. I will be ensuring exhibitors have access to this list of registered bidders, meaning they have qualified leads they can work with.'
During the auction, there will be four new, 5-8m Noble boats and a selection of unreserved boats.
'The unreserved auctions are a boon for both new and seasoned boaters seeking that elusive bargain and to snap up a slice of boating heaven,' Seiffert said.
