Kiwis yet to claim Cup, Auckland show this week, 37 days til GC Expo!
I don't know about you, but these early morning (them, I am used to!) glued to Fox Sports and Sail-World.com willing Emirates Team NZ over the finish line first (and in under 40 minutes - there's a rule that needs to be revised!) are killing me. We couldn't wait, the champagne on ice was guzzled on Sunday.

We will have to drink tap water or Gin if they win in the morning. Hovering on match point for days now, the action on the water in San Fran is enough to turn the hardiest AFL supporters to sailing. God knows who's playing this weekend in Melbourne!!
Yacht Clubs, harbourside venues and humble lounge rooms will be united in one voice IF ONLY ETNZ can bring it tomorrow, from 6am EST. The score is 8-6, with Oracle Team USA showing all the bravado of the underdog and really serving it to the Kiwis.
Enough on that frustrating event, watched by millions equally thrilled and thwarted - the protracted action is contributing to a real boon to the local NZ economy, NZ$350m and rising in investment, business and orders to the NZ marine industry. Australian businesses should want some of that and should be pitching the concept of hosting an AC, Volvo Ocean Race or similar to tourism bodies, Councils and city marketers. The ROI is incalculable.
In other news (sorry, is there any?), Auckland On Water Boat Show starts on Thursday (CAN YOU IMAGINE THE MOOD IF THE CUP BELONGS TO ETNZ BY THEN??), as does the Monaco Yacht Show on the other side of the world, where New Zealand yachts and marine businesses will be cutting a black and silver swathe.
Monaco Yacht Show .. .
AIMEX-Superyacht Australia too will be there in force with Aussie businesses, launching a new superyacht magazine devoted entirely to the sector and Australia's superb cruising grounds.
Gold Coast International Marine Expo - bigger and better in 2013. Stephen Milne
Locally, the Gold Coast International Marine Expo is just 37 days away, and organisers are anticipating increased numbers of visitors to match the record number of exhibitors to this year's event, 1 to 3 November at the Gold Coast's Coomera Marine Precinct.
Gold Coast International Marine Expo spokeswoman, Emma Milne said the Expo was much more than a boat show. 'It is a not-for-profit, action packed, gold coin charitable donation entry fee, family friendly event that offers a unique behind the scenes view of the diverse marine industry.' Just what's needed as we move in to a sweltering summer.
Much more on our sites from the past week and with previews of what's ahead. If you can stand the suspense, lend your cheer to the Kiwi challenge tomorrow and push them over to America's Cup victory.
