Red Bull Aussies on the pace, Magnetic Island, Oracle jury news
Red Bull Youth America's Cup on San Francisco Bay. - After two horror days, Australia's Objective Australia Team were back on the pace, with two seconds behind the Kiwis. The team has been plagued by problems with faulty gennaker halyards in each of the first three races, with jury protests outstanding about the supplied equipment.

Yesterday was the final day of the 2013 SeaLink Magnetic Island Race Week. It was the windiest day of the windiest Queensland keel boat regatta this season. The south easterly trade wind was blowing 18-20 knots at the start and built steadily, with gusts into the high 20´s and with regular 22-24 knots. We have a full report below and we will be posting many more images from this very successful regatta in coming days.

CYCA Commodore Howard Piggott wins inaugural Queensland Season of Sailing Cup. It happens when owners run multiple boats. Matt Allen runs multiple Ichi Bans and Peter Harburg runs multiple Black Jacks. The 2013 Queensland Season of Sailing database showed that Black Jack owned by Peter Harburg was the winner of the 2013 event, winning on a count back from Howard Piggott´s Flying Cloud, after Piggott finished third in the IRC division at SeaLink Magnetic Island Race Week yesterday.

But there are two boats that Peter Harburg owns with the name of Black Jack and the points had been accumulated by two boats and scored as one, so that was a whoops moment. The 2013 winner is in fact, is CYCA Commodore Howard Piggott who campaigned just one boat in the 2013 Queensland Season of Sailing, a Beneteau First 40 Flying Cloud.
In breaking news several members of Oracle Team USA have been excluded for various periods of time, (including one Australian) substantial fines have been levied on the team and the team deducted two points in the forthcoming America's Cup Regatta.
The International Jury has exonerated Team principals, specifically Grant Simmer and Russell Coutts, and it was their actions once they became aware of the measurement issues that carried a mitigation factor, without which the penalties would have been more substantial.
