Interest heating up in Flamingo Bay, America's Cup, Brisbane Boat Show

This week it's all about the Brisbane Boat Show - just two weeks away, and returning to the redeveloped RNA Showgrounds, with new facilities, ample space and plenty to see over four big days, 6-9 September.

It has been nearly 20 years since the Brisbane Boat Show was last held at the RNA Showgrounds!

In 2013 the Brisbane Boat Show will celebrate 53 years of showcasing the latest that Queensland's trailer boat marine industry has to offer. With the catchcry of 'Everything marine under one roof', this is a boat show for boaties by boaties, with fishing gear, PWCs, trailerable boats and engine brands offering sensational deals over the show.

Also this week, a nifty little boat that folds away and can be assembled in just one minute, traveling at over 20 knots once you get it on the water!

The flat-pack boat from Quickboats launched at the recent Sydney International Boat Show and we have the video to prove it's as easy as sliding the pieces together!

From the portable to the pinnacle of ships. Announcing the impending auction of RV Flamingo Bay has certainly flushed out interested parties, according to owner, David Tomlinson.

The impressive adventure ship that's currently moored at Southport Yacht Club on Queensland's Gold Coast, but is destined for a new home come 7 October, has attracted her share of interest from around the world including serious potential buyers.
