2013 Audi Melges 32 Sailing Series - Act 4 Torbole  © Max Ranchi Photography

In the Audi Melges 20 Sailing Series in Torbole, Renato Vallivero's Audi Turnover has claimed the victory. Past Torbole, only one regatta remains in the Series. Happening on 29 August - September 1st, the very first Audi Melges 20 European Championship will take place in Porto Rotondo, Italy.

The 2013 Sail First ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship is set to take place in Limassol, Cyprus this weekend, from 13th to 20th July. The event is seen by many as the ‘Youth Olympics' for sailing and will welcome in excess of 340 of the world's top Olympic hopefuls from across 61 Nations, with the first race of the regatta on Monday 15th July.

The Cowes Dinard St Malo Race is also coming up this weekend when over 170 yachts from six different nations will race across the English Channel to the famous walled port city of St Malo in Brittany, France. The Cowes Dinard St Malo Race is the ninth race of the 13 race series for the RORC Season's Points Championship and bar next month's Rolex Fastnet Race, is likely to have the largest entry of the RORC season.

The Coutts Quarter Ton Cup gets underway on Monday 15 July and this fun revival regatta will once again feature some of the most closely fought racing of the season. What the diminutive Quarter Tonners lack in size they more than make up for in character, experience and determination.

And finally the 45th Rolex Fastnet Race is less than a month away. The provisional entry list stands at 380 yachts, of which a remarkable 340 are eligible for the top prize – the Fastnet Challenge Trophy and Rolex Chronometer for winning overall. This year's race looks well set to far outstrip the previous highest entry of 315, and, in this regard alone, the 2013 Rolex Fastnet will add considerable lustre to its already polished status in sport.
