Of foiling gybes, Aussies in Europe, the Northern series and more

The mess that is the America´s Cup is headed for the New York Supreme Court, we predicted that two weeks ago and sadly we won´t be surprised to see that eventuate in the next few days.

But today there was a little aside as Stephen Barclay, CEO of America's Cup Events Authority commented on our story on the America's Cup Mediation published in Sail-World, to which the writer, Sail-World's NZ and America's Cup Editor, Richard Gladwell responded quite robustly. Read all about it.

The cream is rising... Great things have been expected of Australia´s Jason Waterhouse and Lisa Darmanin in the Nacra 17 Olympic class, they have been getting faster and faster regatta by regatta. They are atop the leader board after two days of racing at the EUROSAF Champions Sailing Cup in Kiel, Germany. Waterhouse and Darmanin will head into the finals series first overall after finishing with a win, a seventh and a second from Sunday's three races.

Mark Buchbach's Stealth Raptor took out the inaugural Sports Boat Winter Nationals at the weekend's Sail Mooloolaba. Teri Dodd´s was on the water photographing the action. We are expecting great Sports Boat Racing at the Abell Point Airlie Beach Race Week in six weeks or so too.

Sail Townsville Launch  Lyndsey Wessel

Blind Japanese sailor's hopes dashed, rescued from liferaft
