BIAA national survey, Chaparral adds Robalo, 'Exporter' online edition
What a relief to welcome sunshine and fair winds - all the better for getting on the water. It's a hobby/pastime/lifestyle enjoyed by as many as 5 million Aussies and the value, at least estimated, is many billions of dollars to the economy and a saving in sick days, well adjusted people and families who are not lacking in quality time - or so we assume.
Survey says: measuring the economic and social impact of boating. BIA WA Nikki Joyce
Very soon, the Australian boating and broader industry will have actual data to show the economic and social impact of boating, as well as busting some misconceptions about who actually enjoys it! (Not just the domain of the rich and famous!)
The BIAA, RMIT and University of Qld, and in collaboration with the University of Michigan in the US, will soon be rolling out a national survey known as 'The Australian Boater Survey', which Nik Parker tells us will demystify boating and shed light on the actual facts and stats.
This week, we bring you an exclusive preview of the aims and applications of the survey.
