Volvo action, Melges 32s - Sailing News from Europe and beyond

Plenty of action here is Spain at the moment with the Melges 32 Worlds in Palma, the Global Ocean Race ready to roll and the Alicante start of the Volvo Race edging closer

And looking ahead, news there will be the Olympic Class Women's Skiff and Multihull Evaluations in Spring.

ISAF request proposals for women's skiff and mixed multihull
International Sailing Federation,
At the 2011 ISAF Mid-Year Meeting ISAF Council adopted submission M10-11 which confirmed a two person women's skiff and two person mixed gender multihull as Olympic Equipment. Volvo Ocean Race Legends Regatta and Reunion which takes place in Alicante, Spain this November, latest entry is the classic Italian yacht Tauranga.
