"Any underlying fears that the America's Cup was off course should have been fully allayed after last week's tests over the proposed course area for the 34th Cup match in 2013." Bob Fisher.

First there were the sceptics who were concerned at the idea of the America's Cup being raced in multihulls. And then there were doubts about the venue (although with the defending Club, Golden Gate YC, in San Francisco, some thought that was what is known in literary circles as a "no brainer"). Add in the promised high-powered media coverage, and AC34 is shaping up to be really rather good - although a few more entries would be good...
