New fuel facility for Sydney Harbour, acid oceans, Singapore strategy

As the season changes here in the southern hem (and the north, of course) we are enjoying ideal boating weather. The shows are beginning in ernest, with the countdown well and truly on for Sanctuary Cove and Sydney.

South-east Queenslanders are looking forward to the Marine Qld Brisbane Tinnie & Tackle Show this weekend at the RNA Showgrounds (with the 4x4 show thrown in as a bonus!), which will be fun for all families, including mine. Yes, we are going to introduce number one son to the delights of rod and reel. He has already savoured the thrill of landing his first catch, and now, he's hooked!

Alex "first blood" Bone and his prize catch!  Jeni Bone

This week, another varied array of stories from every corner of the world - AIMEX has announced the judging panel for this year's Club Marine Australian Marine Industry Export Awards, Sydney boaters will be glad of the new, state-of-the-art Bailey Marine fuel facility opening this Thursday, there's plenty of Climate Change discussion going on in Cairns that is covering the acidification of our oceans, Humminbird has a new 'intuitive' site, and we cover the usual gamut of new products, launches and events.

Please keep sending stories, leads and suggestions, as they are all valued.

Have a great week!

Jeni Bone, editor
