Barcelona World Race, Velux 5 Oceans, America's Cup and more sailing

Welcome to this week's edition of the European newsletter.

The Barcelona World Race skippers are preparing for the start, with Central Lechera Asturiana duo Fran Palacio and Juan Merediz battling to make the start line after their mast snapped on route to Barcelona.

The Velux 5 Oceans skippers face the prospect of Christmas at sea, The Tornado Class has been very busy with its new sailing concept swinging into action, the Swan European Regatta Notice of Race is online as is the RS Feva Worlds 2011.

Of course we have the very latest news on the America's Cup from our resident expert Richard Gladwell and don't forget's Video Selections of the Week.

The Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race gets underway on Boxing Day, and the Team are producing a dedicated newsletter for this event. Global Ocean Race - First Kiwi 40FC Class40 completes inversion test
