As we batten down the hatches for winter, the southern hemisphere is gearing up for their major sailing season.
The Monsoon Cup, the final of the World Match Racing Tour and World Champion decider is about to commence at Kuala Terengganu in Malaysia. The championship is wide open and with the world's richest prize money on offer the competition is sure to be tough. Can Ben Ainslie take the title? The Louis Vuitton Trophy has completed in Dubai, UAE with Emirates Team New Zealand triumphant. We have the news and some great galleries of images from the event.

America's Cup: 1987 Defence Head dies after car crash Perthnow.com and Sail-World, Kevin Parry, the man who backed Australia's defence of the 1987 America's Cup in Fremantle, has died after a car rollover in Bullsbrook on Friday. Police said the 77-year-old Bullsbrook man was only kilometres away from his home when his Toyota Prado rolled on Warbrook Rd at about 4.20pm. He died as a result of injuries from the crash....
