Welcome aboard, the engines are warmed up and we're ready to cast off.
As usual we've got news to bear from all points of the compass, from across the Land Down Under to the USA, the UK and parts of S.E. Asia.
Big news in the wind here in Australia with the inaugural UIM World Championships for Unlimited Displacement powerboats, the field set to include ‘K 69', an American K boat which its crew claims may be the world's fastest at 155mph (250km/hr).
Across the blue Pacific, on the sometimes turbulent waters of the Gulf of Mexico, the Super Boats go into action at the second annual Clearwater Grand Prix.
In other racing news, Tim Seebold, a legendary figure in F1 powerboats, has joined the Abu Dhabi team for a tilt at the UIM H20 world titles.
And no one can say we don't look after our marine mammals here in Australia; unmanned military drones are cruiseing the skies keeping a watchful eye om whales, dolphins and seals.
Good news for the Australian boating industry from America's Newport International Boat Show; the stylish Palm Beach 50, built in Sydney, has been named best new powerboat at the show.
While mentioning Sydney, the Sydney-based Boating Industry Association of New South Wales, always to the fore when it comes to promoting boating, has come up with an innovative 50 Point Safety Check for boat owners.
Nearly 40 authorised dealerships and mechanical workshops across the state are supporting the scheme, which also has the full support of Marine Rescue NSW.
So, it's all happening and we hope you enjoy the read. Don't forget to make regular visits, we're always on the case and always looking to up-date the site with news as it happens.
