Back in the land down under after a somewhat punishing , yet enjoyable trip to the United States where I was treated to a sneak preview of the 2011 range from the legendary Chris-Craft.
While my time ‘on the deck' at Sarasota, on Florida's Gulf coast, was first class, as always, enduring six flights and three days of travel in just seven days is not recommended.
Nevertheless, Powerboat-World subscribers now become the first to briefly check out the new Chris-Craft range and there'll be more to come on these remarkably stylish and beautifully finished craft.
In other news, things are definitely ‘hotting up' as we approach the inaugural UIM Unlimited Displacement World Championships set for the unusually-named town of Gol Gol, on the NSW-Victorian border.
We also have full coverage of the F1 Grand Prix of Russia and the Powerboat P1 USA Invitational Offshore.
For local Queensland Gold Coast residents, tomorrow (Saturday, July 24) could be the opportunity to pick up a bargain as Marine Auctions puts nearly 50 vessels up for bids at the Runaway Bay Marina.
Not surprisingly, angling groups and tourism authorities are ‘up in arms' against more ‘green proposals' to restrict fishing by nominating new marine parks.
One certain ‘gentleman' and I use the term loosely, now has nine months in the ‘slammer' to reflect on the error of his ways. His error? Stealing from hard-working abalone divers who pay very large licence fees for the right to harvest the valuable abalone.
Have a look at the damage a whale to a yacht in South Africa. Could just as easily been a power-boat. They are great to watch but be careful!!
Read on, enjoy and maintain the visits as we update regularly to bring you all the news that matters (or is fit to print!).
