Here we go again, another edition of Powerboat-World bringing you the important news related to all things powerboats.
As usual we deliver news from across the world, from the P1 Powerboat competition in Europe to the New Zealand Offshore championships about to kick off the 2010 season.
Offshore news from Australia, too, and it's a case of fingers crossed as the Offshore Superboat Championships organisers work towards achieving an event on Australia's greatest waterway, Sydney Harbour.
Earlier this week I visited the stunning facilities of the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, and before you think I've become a ‘sailboat man' let me tell you this prestigious club boasts a 50 percent powerboat membership.
It must surely rate as one of the finest maritime clubs in the land.
On the Queensland Gold Coast we joined a score of others to witness the first public showing of the latest from Mustang Marine, the very stylish 2850 Sports Cruiser.
Another new release that can be counted upon to create interest is Honda Marine's launch of the company's new generation V6 outboard engines.
Of course, it's not all sweet and light; up in northern Australia, tourism operators and scientists have clashed over claims that marine algae is over running that magnificent natural resource, the Great Barrier Reef.
The tourism industry claims the scientists are waging ‘scare tactics' in a bid to close more of the reef off to visitors and anglers. Who knows?
Environmental matters, new products, competition news, whatever, this is where you'll keep up to date with it all.
Enjoy the read and drop by regularly for updates.
