Welcome to Sail-World.Com's US newsletter for 20 January 2010.

After four races, the 2010 Star Worlds look set to be the 2008 Olympic Gold medals crew's to lose.

In this edition we have full reports on the racing so far, plus Campbell's always insightful reports from the regatta, although they are the top US crew, they have slipped in the fleet.

Key West is underway and with the second day of competition, we have reports and images in this issue.

With just two and a half weeks before the start of the 33rd America's Cup, both teams are now sailing off Valencia.

BMW Oracle Racing have renamed their Challenger 'USA-17', put on the wingsail and went sailing today, with local media and dignitaries along for the ride in a chase boat.

Alinghi 5 has been sailing for several days now.

In this issue we feature images from the BMW Oracle event, and video from both Alinghi5 and USA-17.

While the team photographers and local Spanish media have been getting ringside seats, as of today, there have still been no arrangements announced for any media, and because of that serious shortcoming, there is considerable uncertainty over the coverage of what is supposed to be the premier event in sailing.

Litigation has been the hallmark of the 33rd Americas Cup, however today was significant in that the International Jury had the first protest poked in its postbox. We have details in this edition. A Hearing is not expected to be held until after the Int Jury has assembled in Valencia after the end of January.
