Welcome Sail-World.Com's New Zealand newsletter for 13 October 2009
In this issue we sadly feature further stories and tributes to those lost from Shockwave 5off the New South Wales coast on Saturday morning.
As mentioned in our last issue Sail-World has announced the launch of another new site - Sail-World Canada - which is being operated by the publishers of three Canadian yachting and marine industry magazines. See the full story in this edition. We feature more on this significant development at a time when other publications are shrinking or shutting up shop altogether
Test your safety knowledge in Coastguard Boating Education's online test in this edition. Although it's aimed at kayakers, it is also very relevant to general boating safety and better to get your thinking sorted out now, than when you have to make some quick decisions when faced with the real situation.
In the Argo Group Gold Cup in Bermuda, New Zealand crews have performed well, but not taken the title. In this issue we feature reports and images from the final day, and also the report from two of the crews.
As the start of the Coastal Classic approaches, we feature the latest news including links to the entry list.
You can submit your event/regatta/class/boat news by Clicking Here - all copy will be published, please include a photo or three with a side over 1200px long. There's a new big icon on the home page of www.sail-world.com to make it even easier for you.
Many thanks for your help and input, we're here to help sailing, and help those who wish to help themselves.
