Alinghi 5 soon to be sailing at Ras al-Khaimah (UAE)  Monsta
Welcome Sail-World.Com's US newsletter for 4 October 2009

More on the developments on the America's Cup front in this issue, with, we believe more to come next week. Just as this saga looks like to is about to die down, a gust of legal wind always seems to whip in, and fan the smoldering embers.

There are some additions to our America's Cup e-mailbag, plus a commentary story on the latest dispute.

In Punta Ala, Italy the World Platu 25 championships have just concluded, with competitors from 14 countries and three continents competing. Although no US crew competed, the class does have a US Association, and this regatta looks to be finding a niche in the international calendar. The Platu 25 is a Bruce Farr design from Annapolis. In this issue we have daily reports and some great images from the World Championship, which has provided some great racing.
