Surprise, surprise, the AC goes back to Court

04 Sep 2009

Major Events

GGYC (BMW Oracle) have gone back to Court to complain about SNG (Alinghi) cutting secret deals with ISAF. "Well, you would, wouldn't you?" Can't say I blame them.

On a more positive note, Hong Kong's name is still in the hat when it comes to the recently-announced Louis Vuitton World Series. The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club has put in a HK$10m application to the HK Government Mega-Fund - it just remains to be seen whether the decision-makers have enough imagination to understand that a Louis Vuitton World Series event in Hong Kong harbour is likely to generate a great deal more international interest and exposure than a Div 3 wushu match in Yuen Long Town Hall (Where? Exactly!)

There's a weekend coming up, so do yourself a favour and go sailing - you know it makes sense!
