Major Events


The WMRT Korea Match Cup started today - with a few bleary skippers and crews who had just climbed off the plane from last week's Match Race Germany - and so did the 2nd Korean International Boat Show. Reports on KMC below, and we'll do a wrap on the KIBS and associated Asia Marine Boating Conference at the end...

A passing morning storm lapsed into a decent southerly breeze by 1000 hrs this morning, and racing got underway on time. On Alpha course, the Byte CIIs opened the regatta with Youth Olympic Squad sailor Nathan Tang taking an early lead in the first race. Tradewind sailing at its best. Koh Samui Regatta, day 3
The south westerly tradewind has set in with a vengeance, producing champagne sailing conditions and huge thrills for crews on their flying machines. Elliott 6m debuts on the world stage at Kiel Week

Brilliant day of tropical sailing at Koh Samui
Ten to twelve knots of wind by start time, building to 16 - 18 knots by mid race which continued through to the end of racing.
