Volvo Ocean Race: Green Dragon close on Ericsson 4

Ian Walker and his crew onboard Green Dragon made a 90 mile gain on Ericsson 4's lead in the last 24 hours. As the fleet continue to push south they are currently passing the Marshall Islands and as the most easterly boat Green Dragon are likely to pass closer to these islands than other boat in the fleet... Volvo Ocean Race - With 9,842 nm to go to the finish, Ericsson 4 led Puma by 39 nm, a loss for Puma of over 37 nm in the last 24 hours. Swedish racing super J to be built to original plans and lines

J Class Association have approved Lines Plans for 'SVEA' one of the longest yacht construction projects - taking 74 years to complete. During 1999, whilst researching International 8 Metre plans by designer Tore Holm, John Lammerts van Bueren discovered plans for a Swedish J Class yacht dating from 1937. A prime example came after Roland Jourdain (Bilou) sailing 'Veolia Environnement' collided with a whale. Musandam passes Cape Horn after 40 days at sea non-stop

Mohsin Al Busaidi on his Round the World Attempt onboard Musandam. As the crew drew close to Cape Horn the sea state changed dramatically and the light winds and waves of the Pacific began to change into the huge rolling waves of the Atlantic.
