Down on the ‘Apple Isle', the team from the Horsehead Water Ski Club and their many ‘imports' who joined in, have failed to establish a new world record for the most number of skiers towed behind one boat.
And what a boat- lets start with a high speed ferry...for a while, it looked as though they would achieve the mark as the 122 skiers were all up and running, but only for about 50-metres when a tow line snapped.
And there's plenty of action coming up this month with the offshore teams heading south to Williamstown and Geelong and selection races for the forthcoming World Water Ski titles in Belgium.
