So, what has been happening in the world of boating this week? In a word, plenty!

We continue to provide the satellite audio feed from the Earthrace round the world attempt. Right now Aucklander Pete Bethune is battling six metre seas and 40 knot winds as he heads across the Indian Ocean to Oman. Come back tomorrow for the latest news on this mighty Kiwi effort.

We were at the bottom mark during the Formula I action in Newcastle and have provided for the first time ever, the commentary from the race course online. You can listen to races 2 & 3 below.

While young Grant Trask took three Formula 2000 wins in Newcastle, Bob and David Trask scored championship points in St. Petersburg,

F1 Superboats fly in Newcastle - Race Call

A year ago the Newcastle round of the XLR8 Home Loans Australian F1 Superboat Series was blown off the water as a savage storm from a winter east coast low blew the Pasha Bulker onto Nobbys Beach.
