The big powerboat story of the week was the Sydney Superboat GP. Pre-race favourite ‘Maritimo' and her crew, Tom Barry-Cotter and Norwegian ace Pal Virik Nilsen were rightly named ‘Kings of the Harbour.'

We reveal the full results of all classes.

There comes a time when one has to write a headline that nobody wants to read (and I certainly didn't want to write)...

Losing a mate is never easy, particularly in such tragic circumstances. So it is this week when we report on the tragic death of respected champion ski racer Peter Eagle. Our hearts go out to the Eagle family, particularly wife Kerrie and daughters Lauryn and Sarah.

The ‘Sunshine State' is now claiming to have taken the lead over NSW for the number of boats registered.

You'll also find details this week of the latest release from BRP, the thundering 300hp Evinrude E-Tec outboard.

Next week we will bring you an exclusive Powerboat-world interview with Brunswick's CEO Dusty McCoy, more about Axius joystick steering and a review from OCEAN Magazine on the Pershing 72.

There's plenty more to keep you up to date in the world of powerboats.

The news, the good, the bad and the terribly sad, it's all here on Powerboat-World.
