Another busy week for the Powerboat-World crew, despite a rather nasty ‘computer glitch' (Sorry I swore at you, Mr Gates).
I find it almost hard to believe that on Thursday this week I will be attending the official launch of the 2008 Sanctuary Cove International Boast Show.
It just doesn't seem right that 12 months has slipped by so rapidly.
Anyway, we start this week by delivering some previews of just what the industry heavyweights have planned for Sanctuary Cove.
We also take a look at the excitement building up for the eagerly-awaited Sydney Superboat Grand prix scheduled for early March.
February looms as a busy month for Marine Queensland (formerly BIAQ) as it plans its move into its own premises.
As MQ GM Barry Hibberd pointed out, moving is a “pig of a job.”
Another reminder for those hunting a bargain, February 22 is the opening day for the seventh Rosehill Gardens Boat Show and for boating enthusiasts this is definitely the place to haggle a good deal.
Next week I depart these shores for Miami and the Miami International Boat Show, which, although not the world's largest is certainly one of the worldwide industry's most important.
Spread over three locations linked by shuttle buses, the Miami show is really a sight to see.
There'll be plenty of Aussies in attendance and you'll read all about the show's results, its glitz and its glamour right here in the pages of Powerboat-World.
And that's exactly where you will always keep up with everything happening in the world of powerboats.
