Another big week in the Boating World and there’s been plenty to report on.

Today (Friday, November 23) was to be the day the on-going Mustang Marine saga could come to a close. Peter Goddard from Receivers Ferrier Hodgson's has adviced Powerboat-World a few minutes ago there are a number of credible bidder for the company and negotiations will continue into next week. We’ll bring you that news as soon as it is announced.

In this weeks newsletter we have Part One on my recent trip to the United States for the Regal Marine Industries International Dealer Conference.

We also reveal the forthcoming dates for the Offshore Superboat Championships next year and let you in on who’s who on the newly-elected Offshore Council committee.

News from the Australian Wake Boarding Pro Tour which kicked off last week on the Brisbane River and the Trask Brothers will be racing in Qatar this weekend.

For Gold Coast boaters, be warned – the police are out to nail those who take too kindly to the alcoholic beverages, with one wayward skipper caught more than three times over the legal limit. Others were caught without navigation lights and for speeding through restricted areas.

There could also be a problem looming on the Gold Coast for anglers. Apparently some exclusions zones are being considered, but a State Government Minister denies anglers will be ‘locked out’ from popular fishing spots from the Gold Coast through to Moreton Bay.

Like anything else to do with the world of Boats and Boating, is the place to keep up with all the doings.
