The Marinas24 International Conference and Trade Exhibition is just around the corner, and with over 333 delegates already registered, it promises to be an exciting event.
This year's conference program features one of the best speaker line-ups yet, with sessions designed to inspire industry professionals and capitalise on the strength of the industry.
Marine Jobs is a collaboration of the Marina Industries Association, the Boating Industry Association and Superyacht Australia. It was developed to help us all tackle the competitive tight labour market and promote the marine industry as a preferred career choice. Marine Jobs helps to retain workers in the industry by making it easy to find their next industry opportunity and helps employers to advertise their available positions to a targeted, skilled and interested pool of job seekers.
Almost 80 past and present volunteers have marked Marine Rescue Ulladulla's 50th anniversary of saving lives on the water during a ceremony at the Ulladulla Civic Centre on 4 May. Marine Rescue NSW Commissioner Alex Barrell said it was an important occasion to acknowledge the selfless efforts of all members who have volunteered at the unit since it began servicing the local boating community in 1974.
The Boating Industry Association (BIA) today welcomed a Maritime Safety Queensland announcement on the next stages of an effort to deliver an improved boating management plan for the Noosa waterways. BIA spokesperson Neil Patchett said a boating management plan to support safe, responsible and enjoyable boating was long overdue for the waterways of Noosa.
"Boating is a way of life for a significant number of people in the Noosa region and we are supportive of MSQ, as the State's navigation authority and regulator, to lead on a well-considered boating plan," he said. "We are supportive of ensuring responsible boating and safe speeds near structures, shorelines, non-powered craft and people in the water.

COAST New Zealand has launched a new addition to its revered Marine Bean Collection; the new Nautilus comes nearly 20 years after the company launched the collection, which is renowned for its superior quality and understated style for around pools, deck and aboard boats. The new Nautilus style is a smaller, streamlined version of the Marine Bean Chair.
From South East Asia, the Singapore Yachting Festival concluded with resounding success, affirming its status as Asia's premier yachting event. Held at ONE degrees15 Marina Sentosa Cove from April 25-28, this year's event boasted an impressive showcase of the yachting industry. With 72 vessels on display, along with 75 exhibitors representing 115 brands, it provided a comprehensive look into the latest innovations and offerings in yachting.
The Yacht Sales Co has been recognised at the recent Yacht Style Awards winning the Rising Dealer in Asia award. The accolade was presented at the prestigious awards in Singapore in April and acknowledged The Yacht Sales Co's successful expansion in the region with its new and pre-owned yacht sales. The company represents many of the world's leading brands throughout the Asia Pacific region, including Fountaine Pajot, Dufour Yachts, ILIAD Catamarans, Maritimo, Absolute Yachts, Cora Catamarans, NEEL and LEEN Trimarans, and Tesoro Yachts.
And last but not least, a classic 32-foot Cayzer motor yacht built in 1976 is poised to return to the water as a one-of-a-kind gentleman's cruiser, thanks to the vision of its owner, the talents of the restoration team at Tasmanian Shipwrights & Co and WEST SYSTEM products. Originally called Osprey, the impeccably designed and built wooden boat was chosen for its "good bones", says its owner, Tim Mundy, who spent over a year searching for the exact vessel to suit his criteria.
