The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club summer Saturday series, the Super Saturday, is set to start this weekend, 20th of April, with a warning signal set for 10:00.

James Hutton-Penman, ILCA 6/Laser Radial is expected to defend his title against the SnowGlobe 2023 winner, Charlie Matthews, Blaze and Nick Peel's ILCA 6/Laser Radial, second overall in the last year' series and fresh after an outstanding performance during the Easter Regatta.

Flynn and Niamh Davies' Merlin Rocket, dubbed "The Submarine" after their performance during the Easter Regatta and a rumoured Hadron, are set to bolster the ranks of the Fast Handicap Fleet, along with boat refreshers for a number of competitors, with Alex Porteous putting her new Blaze to its paces and Nick Tolhurst switching to Laser/ILCA 7.

The U18 part of the fleet is promising to add some spice to the races, with Corinthian Otter Hayden Gilmore hoping to give Nathan Flynn, winner of the Marco Polo Pursuit Race, some trouble and Amelia Kilgour's recent switch to ILCA 4/Laser 4.7.

A number of guests are expected to take part in the series, with newcomer Richard Shepherd, ILCA 7/Laser, representing Burnham Sailing Club, to join BSC's RS200 regular fleet.

On the Slow Handicap front, the organizers are expecting a strong showing from the Otter Cadet and Optimist fleet.

In a novelty set up, there are rumours of a Very Slow Handicap Fleet, to accommodate Nick Milton's Foxer.

The series, after its opening on 20th of April, will continue on 18th of May, 15th of June, 20th of July and conclude on 17th of August.
