The Wolf Rock Boat Company announced their title sponsorship of the Reel Masters Show 2022 at Southampton International Boat Show on Thursday 22 September.

Reel Masters is the only combined Saltwater Angling Show & Competition in the UK. With exhibitors from across the angling and marine industry sectors, Reel Masters offers a welcoming festival-feel with live music, delicious food, local vendors, and activities for all. Reel Masters runs Fri 30th Sept to Sun 2nd of Oct at Weymouth, Dorset.

This new event, a first of its kind, combines exciting live action angling competitions in Weymouth Bay and brings together everything anglers will need. There are Introduction to Angling experiences, both on and off the water, educational talks, demonstrations and the latest fishing tackle and boat equipment.

Sarah McCarthy, Director, The Wolf Rock Boat Company said: "We share a similar synergy with Reel Masters in that we all want to encourage as many people as possible to get on the water. WolfRock will have a variety of boats on display at Reel Masters from the 100% recyclable, stable and durable Smartwave boats, the foldable, portable and affordable Kolibri range, through to the lightweight, strong, aluminium UMS boats that were built with fishing in mind."

The Wolf Rock Boat Company was established in 2007 by the McCarthy family who are RIB boat specialists and proud to have built a loyal client base of both new and returning customers, consistently striving to provide friendly, expert advice and guidance.

With the situation in Ukraine, the Wolf Rock Boat Company had to reinvent their business by focussing on the core objective of making the water accessible to all. The personally curated range of new brands into the UK means that there are three boat manufacturers of interest to the fishing market. Reel Masters offers the perfect opportunity to showcase them.

ePropulsion announced as sponsor for the inaugural Reel Masters 2022

ePropulsion the pioneering electric propulsion experts are to sponsor Reel Masters, the UK's first exhibition and competition for saltwater and lure anglers.

Steve Bruce, MD ePropulsion UK explains, "We are delighted to be supporting the inaugural Reel Masters. ePropulsion is always keen to support events that encourage newcomers to enjoy water-based activities, challenge the experts to be the best in their class, and are seeking to find sustainable ways of enjoying our oceans."

ePropulsion will participate in the Branded Boat competition in association with Plymouth Pilots, the traditional West Country boat builders. The Plymouth Pilot 18 has been fitted with an ePropulsion POD drive 3.0, a 3kW electric inboard motor that is the equivalent of a 6HP engine. Ideal for anglers, the motor is clean, totally quiet and highly reliable. With few moving parts it does not require any additional maintenance or any need to store oil and fuel board which may leak into bilges or the ocean.

In the exhibition ePropulsion will be showing and demonstrating their portable and long-range electric outboards together with the POD drives. The range includes the:

  • Spirit 1.0 Plus and Evo portable electric outboards
  • Navy 3.0 & 6.0 - long range electric outboards
  • POD 1.0, 3.0 and 6.0 inboard POD drives
  • Vaquita electric kayak motor

Andrew Webster, Reel Masters MD comments, "We are thrilled to welcome ePropulsion to be part of this new, long-awaited show that caters to the needs of the thousands of anglers in the UK. There's no doubt that electric propulsion is going to play a significant part in the future of boating and angling, and ePropulsion's involvement will help spread the word within the angling community."
